No. Each chapter is anchored to the real monument you are standing at, and needs a live connection to line itself up, every time. Travelling? A local eSIM or data roaming is enough; airplane mode is not.
Nothing appears when I open a chapter.
Check your connection — that is almost always the cause. You also need to be at the site itself, not near it: if you are on wifi at a café down the street, walk up to the monument itself and try again. At Galata Tower, also check that you have allowed location access.
I got a new phone.
